Kartik Ekadashi is also known as ‘Dev Uthani Ekadashi’. This day is celebrated with great joy, as on this day Lord Vishnu wakes up from state of deep sleep of four months. This festival is also celebrated by the trust in a magnificent way; the temple is decorated with colourful flowers and beautiful lights.
Akhand Harinaam Week is organized by the trust for this day. Learned preachers and bhajan singers are invited for the daily pravachans and bhajans. On this day, a special aarti is performed by a special guest at 4.00 am in the morning and also in between 5.00 am and 7.00 am in the morning, the Lord is anointed with Panchamrit (milk, curd, ghee, sugar and honey).
Lord Vishnu is adorned with new clothes and ornaments. The aarti of the Lord Vishnu is performed at 7.00 am by Vadya Yantra and Ved Mantras. Thousands of devotees visit this aarti just to get a divine glimpse of the Lord. The ‘Bhog Aarti’ of the Lord is performed at 11.00 am, in which large number of devotees participate in order to take the blessings of the Lord Vishnu. At 7.00 pm in the evening, aarti of the Lord Vishnu is performed by Vadya Yantras and Ved Mantras. In this way, this auspicious day is also celebrated with great Joy. The learned preachers and the bhajan singers are later felicitated. The devotees keep visiting the temple the whole day for Kartik Ekadashi Utsav.
